There is more emphasis on different methods of teaching in medical education. Medical teaching could vary from medical expertise to educational expertise, face to face, or presentations given online. How medical education is delivered depends on what the learners role is within the institution, and what the purpose is for the learner to learn. A good teacher is expected to adapt to many forms of teaching roles that is best suited for the learner. This article identifies twelve roles of the teacher and the changes in medical education.
